All invoices accumulated during the month will be due for payment by the 15th day of the following month.

When sending parcels please ensure that they are properly wrapped and protected. We can advise and provide packing materials if required.

All Same Day despatches are automatically covered by insurance up to £25,000. Overnight consignments are covered up to £50 unless additional liability cover is requested and accepted.

Acceptance of these terms is confirmed by each booking request made.

1) BBA accepts consignments for transportation on the understanding that the service is provided for despatch of consignments which are not classified as dangerous or illegal for carriage by motorcycle or vans.

2) Where consignments are prohibited by size, weight, danger or illegality for transportation by motorcycle and our van courier service is used the same conditions shall apply.

3) Transportation shall commence when the consignment is handed to the courier whether at the point of collection or at premises.

4) Transit shall end when the consignment is tendered at the nominated place of delivery and it is the responsibility of the consignor to make appropriate arrangements for the receipt of the consignment by the consignee and for any duties or taxes applicable to be paid. Any additional costs or taxes incurred and charged to BBA will be charged in full.

5) Consignments that are determined to be larger than average in volume capacity may be subject to volumetric charging.

6) No liability is accepted for the late arrival of consignments no matter how any delay may be caused.

7) BBA shall, if so required, sign a document prepared by the sender acknowledging receipt of the consignment but no such document shall be evidence of the condition or of the correctness of the declared nature, quantity or weight of the consignment at the time that it is received by BBA.

8) Subject to these Conditions the liability of BBA in respect of any one same day despatch consignment shall be limited by insurance cover to £25,000 for van or car despatch and £1,000 for motorcycle despatch. In respect of any United Kingdom or International overnight consignment the insurance limit shall be £50 for the loss or damage of the whole consignment providing always that the consignment is properly and adequately packed. European despatches by road all consignments are carried under The Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR) conditions. In the event of any dispute the decision of the insurance company providing such insurance cover to BBA will be final. Where applicable additional liability cover is available at cost. All claims for loss or damage must to be made within 3 working days of the date of delivery. In all cases value of claims must be made in writing within 14 days.

9) Goods held in storage (not in transit) have limited cover and it is recommended that you also include the value of any goods held by us in storage on your own business insurance.

10) In respect of same day carriage of wine, spirits and tobacco insurance cover is restricted to £100 per consignment. Additional insurance is available upon request.

11) Value for insurance purposes must be declared by the consignor prior to despatch.

12) Unless insured by prior arrangement and, where applicable, the consignor agrees to pay any additional insurance premium, no liability is accepted for any consignment that includes (a) bullion money securities stamps negotiable documents jewellery watches gold platinum and silver articles precious stones and furs (b) non ferrous metals other than in component form (c) livestock (d) data carrying computer disks and tapes except for the value as unused disks and tapes (e) non-negotiable documents except for the value as unused stationery together with the cost of clerical labour expended in writing up (f) ceramics, pottery or any items classified as works of art (g) plasma screens (h) glass.

13) No liability is accepted for indirect or consequential loss in respect of any consignments.

14) No liability is accepted for the loss, damage or destruction to any property whatsoever arising from any consequence of war, invasions, act of foreign enemy, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power, riot, civil commotion, strikes, lockouts, labour disturbances or confiscation, requisition, destruction or damage by order of any Government or Public or Local Authority.

15) Terms of trading are that invoices will be submitted to account customers on a weekly or monthly basis for settlement not later than the fifteenth day of the following month from the day of invoice and for non account customers payment to be by return of post. Invoice and proof of delivery queries must be raised within 7 days of receipt of invoice.

16) BBA reserves the right to add interest to overdue accounts at the rate of 2% per month plus any additional costs incurred in administration and/or legal action to obtain settlement of overdue accounts.

17) BBA reserves the right to amend, alter or change any of the foregoing Conditions and Terms by publishing such conditions in its offices where conditions of carriage and terms of business are available upon request.

18) Any individual variations to these Terms & Conditions must be in writing and signed by all parties.
